1. Overview & Scope
KnowledgePaat ("we", "our", or "us") operates the online learning platform, career resources, and digital eBook bookstore available at knowledgepaat.com. We respect your privacy and are committed to safeguarding personal data collected from registered students, eBook purchasers, and visitors.
2. Information We Collect
- Account Registration: When you register an account, we collect your email address, name, and hashed authentication credentials. Email verification is enforced using time-limited one-time passwords (OTP).
- eBook Purchases & Transactions: When purchasing technical eBooks, we record your order details, the specific editions purchased, transaction reference IDs, and entitlement records. Payment card details and UPI credentials are processed directly by our PCI-DSS certified payment gateway; we never store raw credit card numbers or UPI PINs.
- Support Inquiries: When you submit support requests via our contact form or email, we collect your name, email address, message contents, and support category.
- Technical Telemetry: We collect server logs, anonymized IP addresses for distributed rate limiting and spam protection, browser user-agent strings, and diagnostic error digests to ensure system security and stability.
3. Third-Party Service Providers & Data Processors
We work with trusted third-party cloud infrastructure providers to deliver our services:
Supabase
Provides secure database hosting, row-level security (RLS), and authentication token management.
Razorpay
PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor handling UPI, credit/debit cards, net banking, and refunds.
Resend / Google SMTP
Transactional email delivery for OTP verification, order confirmations, and password reset instructions.
Google Analytics (GA4)
Optional aggregated visitor telemetry. Loaded only after user consent is granted via our Cookie Consent controls.
4. Cookies and Browser Storage
We utilize browser storage and cookies categorized as follows:
- Strictly Necessary: Essential cookies for user session authentication (
sb-*-auth-token), shopping cart persistence (kp_ebook_cart), and your cookie consent preference (kp_cookie_consent). These cannot be disabled without breaking website functionality. - Analytics Cookies: Optional Google Analytics identifiers (
_ga,_ga_*). These cookies help us understand page traffic and improve content. You may accept or reject analytics cookies at any time via the Cookie Settings in our footer.
